So, I swear this was not intentionally done, but this classic mid-century style shapewear piece fulfills the old adage "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" But don't feel limited to any particular day, because this beauty can be worn for any special occasion!
The front diamond panel is an authentic deadstock 1940's rayon in a robin egg's blue soft teal with a curly rose floral novelty print. Reinforced with a stabilizing interlining to assist with the smoothing and keeping the tummy in check, and completed with a blush pink lining to be fully soft against the skin.
New heavy duty modern powermesh side and panels for all the shaping and smoothing from the thick high waist elastic through the hips to the six rose gold metal gartered clips holding up your stockings.
"Borrowed" heritage cotton insertion lace trim from my mom's vintage lace stash (shhh, don't tell her...) made in Switzerland, edges the diamond panel. I've used a pale yellow satin ribbon to weave in-between the insertion peepholes on the lace, and end at the leg with tiny yellow bows. Finally, there is a pink velvet bow at center front waist, which I realize is not exactly the most practical for shapewear, so this will be lightly sewn and easily removable.
Back panel is a blush pink powermesh with the Dolly stretch lace mesh overlay!
Girdle skirts are made to be worn at your natural waist, in order to maximize the hourglass figure you are trying to create! All items must be handwashed, please. Handmade in Chicago, IL.

Robe Sizing
Our robes are very open, and the sizing is somewhat flexible. They come in 3 sizing options—size 1 is designed for sizes XS - L, size 2 for sizes XL- 3X, and size 3 fits up to a 5X.

- All our products are constructed domestically in the USA, specifically Chicago, IL. Made to order items will typically be sewn by Stephanie, the designer.
- Each piece is patterned by Stephanie and hand-cut by her or if we're doing a small batch, cut by our production partner in Chicago.
- Then it’s put together by Stephanie or one of our small team of sewists who are paid a living wage.
With that kind of attention to detail, we can guarantee that our high standards for quality are met and that each piece you order from us is built to last.
