ANNOUNCEMENT: WE ARE MOVING!!

Dottie's Delights is moving with me back to Chicago! I will try to keep in stock orders undisrupted for as long as I can. Any in stock orders placed before January 28th will be shipped without issue. However, any "made to order" pieces that are purchased after Jan. 15th may see delays as we get machines moved and the studio settled with the relocation. Please bear with us during this transition and reach out to info@dottiesdelights with any further questions.

Made to order items are handmade and take time to be constructed just for you!

 

Current production time is:

In stock items ship in 1-3 days

Made to Order ships in 3-8 weeks

Quality Takes Time

Dottie’s Delights is a small company, committed to ethical labor practices. The utmost attention is paid to high quality and authentic workmanship, as we work to reproduce as close as is possible the craft that was put into mid-century clothing.

  • All our products are constructed domestically in the US, either in Nashville, Tennessee or Chicago, IL. Made to order items will typically be sewn by Stephanie, the designer.
  • Each piece is patterned by Stephanie and hand-cut by her or if we're doing a small batch, cut by our production partner in Chicago. 
  • Then it’s put together by Stephanie or one of our small team of sewists who are paid a living wage. 

With that kind of attention to detail, we can guarantee that our high standards for quality are met and that each piece you order from us is built to last.

Generally speaking, our sizes are based on the following:

 XS 31-33" bust 22-24" waist 31-33" hip
S 33-36" bust 24-26" waist 33-36" hip
M 36-38" bust 26-28" waist 36-38" hip
L 38-40" bust 28-30" waist 38-40" hip 
XL 40-42" bust 30-32" waist  40-42" hip 
1X 42-44" bust 32-34" waist 42-44" hip 
2X 44-47" bust 34-37" waist 44-47" hip
3X 47-50" bust 37-40" waist 47-50" hip
4X 50-53" bust 40-43" waist 50-53" hip

Robe Sizing

Our robes are very open, and the sizing is somewhat flexible. They come in 3 sizing options—size 1 is designed for sizes XS - L,  size 2 for sizes XL- 3X, and size 3 fits up to a 5X.

Returns Policy

Please note most items are handmade to order and take time to be constructed just for you! Because of this, we are unable to accept order cancellations. We must be very strict on this, even if you have just placed your order and we have not shipped yet, even if you did not fully read our terms before placing your order. All items are non-refundable. The only exception is if we have sent an item that is flawed or damaged.

Size exchanges may be permitted provided garments are returned in new, unworn condition. Knickers and playsuits are excluded from exchanges unless flawed or damage upon arrival.  Please contact dottiesdelights@gmail.com for more information. ♥

Shipping Policy

Shipping Time
Please note most items are handmade to order and take time to be constructed just for you! In general, allow at least 1-3 weeks for made to order items to be constructed. This may occasionally be longer during high traffic periods:

If the item you want is In Stock, order that option, as you will receive it more quickly! You can always email us to check the stock status of specific pieces you are interested in - just be sure to include size/color/style name of items! Please contact dottiesdelights@gmail.com for more information on special shipping requests.

Delivery Method
We generally ship using USPS. Other carriers may be available (UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc). USPS Priority Mail shipping and above will include a simple gift box packaging; First Class shipments will be sent in a compostable mailer. We try to be as eco-conscious as we can!

We are not responsible for lost packages, and we are unable to call USPS to track down packages. We always try to ship out as fast as possible, but if you have a very hard deadline, please let us know.

International customers

Unfortunately due to new regulations, we are no longer able to ship to the EU.

For all other areas:

We have added First Class International as a budget friendly option, however, please note this generally does not include full tracking information once it leaves the U.S. border. Also, first class delivery times can vary widely from weeks to months. We are not responsible for lost packages.

We highly recommend using Priority Mail or other carriers to ensure reliable tracking and delivery times. As far as customs and duties are concerned, we are a legitimate business and do not mark purchases as "gift" so please do not ask.

Careers/Internships

Design and/or Marketing Intern:

We are always open to internship applications on a continuing basis. Internships typically last one school semester and can be somewhat tailored to each individual's interests and skills. Areas may include: pattern development, design development, sample making, production basics, social media and newsletter maintenance and promotion, target market research, new stockist outreach, lookbook/line sheet development, etc. This is an excellent opportunity to work intimately with the designer and experience all aspects of the inner workings of a small independent brand. Knowledge of fashion history or intimate apparel a plus, but not mandatory. Must be enrolled or a recent graduate of a fashion programs or similar. Preference given to students that are looking for school credit. Paid position.
